Metallurgy

Chemical analysis is taken from all of our foundry melts using a spectrograph.

This facility is computer controlled and calibrated spectrometer with 27 channels to ensure that the chemical elements meet the highest quality control requirements.

Mechanical Testing

We also have calibrated hardness and tensile test equipment to check the mechanical properties required.

Micro-photo analysis is undertaken on the finished machined castings. Most of the machining is carried out in our own machine shop. In addition to fettling and grinding, we undertake milling, slotting, turning and boring onsite. Other machining operations can be subcontracted to approved machine shops.
